A trek along
the ancient pilgrims' route to the holy town of Badrinath
and Kedarnath in the Himalayan foothills, combined with exhilarating
rafting down the Ganges, the most revered river in the country
and a wildlife safari in Jim Corbett National Park is an exciting
introduction to the adventure opportunities available in a
country that is known more for its rich culture and age-old
traditions.

1 Arrive Delhi
Arrive New Delhi. Transfer to hotel.
DAY
2 Delhi
Morning
at leisure afternoon. Sightseeing of old Delhi monuments.
O/n Delhi hotel.
DAY
3 Delhi - Shivpuri
Arrive
Snow Leopard Adventures Camp
Camp orientation talk briefing about the day's plan. Lunch.
Post lunch rafting training session / relax on the beach.
Campfire and dinner. Overnight in Camp.
DAY
4 In the lap of the mighty Himalayas
After
breakfast, drive for 45 minutes along the Ganga river to the starting point of the trek.
You start the day with a approximately
6 km trek along the river to Mahadev Chatti, the camp site
for the day.
DAY-5
On the Pilgrims' trail
Easy
trek along the ancient Hindu pilgrims' trail for 18 scenic
kms to the camp set up on a beach near the river.
Overnight in tents.
DAY-6
On the pilgrim's trail
Trek
to Devprayag, a beautiful 16 kms level walk along the river
through villages that seem to belong to an era gone by. Pass
old temples, ashrams and two famous Hindu shrines visited
by pilgrims for centuries enroute to Badrinath and Kedarnath.
Overnight in Devprayag guest house.
DAY
7 The Wet and Wild Rafting Experience
After breakfast a sight seeing tour of Devprayag, Raft from
Devprayag towards Shivpuri. Drive to Snow Leopard Adventures
Camp in Shivpuri. Evening at leisure followed by a celebration
dinner around the campfire.
DAY
8: At Shivpuri
For the enthusiastic rafters there is more rafting to come.
After breakfast we can raft down an exciting stretch of the
river. After a picnic lunch,
a short sightseeing of the holy town of Rishikesh. We also
witness a typical traditional 'Arti' (prayer) in the evening.
Drive back to camp. Dinner. O/N stay in the camp.
DAY
9: Leopard Beach-Jim Corbett National Park
After
breakfast at leisure, drive 6 hours to Jim Corbett National
Park, situated in the foothills of the Himalayas in the northern
part of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Arrive at Lodge just outside the Park. Lunch. Afternoon at
leisure. Besides being home to the Bengal Tiger and the endangered
gharial, Corbett is home to about 580 species of birds making
it a bird watcher's paradise. An evening bird watching walk
in the outskirts of the National Park.
Evening briefing on the surrounding forest and wildlife. Dinner
and o/n at lodge.
Day
10: At Corbett
Full day excursion to Dhikala.
Before dinner a short video film on the flora and fauna of
the area. Dinner and o/n at the Lodge
Day
12 Corbett - Delhi
Early morning safari. After an early breakfast, set off on
the six hour drive to Delhi.
