Our adventures are conducted in safe manner and they are safer than probably driving around in Delhi. We keep our adventure safe by: -

Instructor to student ratio is 1:10.

What are the minimum and maximum temperatures at your camps ?

Maximum temperatures during summer range from 37 to 42 degrees Celsius. Minimum temperatures during winter range from 5 to 16 degrees Celsius.

What heights are your camps located at?

Our camps are in Shivpuri, Uttarakhand which is 430 metres or 1410 feet above sea level.

Are your instructors experienced?

Yes, all our instructors are wilderness first aid certified and on an average have over 15+ years of experience in their respective fields.

Where all do you offer adventure trips in India?

We offer adventure trips mainly in Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Kerala.

Can we pay in camp?

We would prefer that you pay before you visit the cap. This enables our camp team members to think of you as guests rather than clients.

Which is the best way to get to your camps?

Best way to get to our camps is to via train. Train to Haridwar and then drive from Haridwar railway station via Rishikesh to Shivpuri. Or Fly to Dehradun airport and drive from Dehradun airport/ via Rishikesh to Shivpuri.

Can a non-swimmer go for rafting?

Yes. Non-swimmers are allowed on the easy sections of the river.

What do you wear while rafting?

For rafting Dry fit shorts and T-shirts are recommended. You will be provided with helmets, life jackets and paddles at camp.

What is the minimum and maximum age for rafting on the Ganga?

Minimum age for rafting is 10 years and there is no maximum age, if the guest is fit

Can we have a DJ and Loud music in the camp?

Shivpuri is next to a forest reserve and we do not recommend DJs and loud music in that area.

What makes you more expensive than the rest in the area. Kindly elaborate ?

Snow Leopard Adventures has been in existence for the last 25 years and has the best camps and the most professional staff. We invest a lot on our team’s training and skills. Our equipment is probably the best seen on the river and our cuisine has been time and again commended.

How long does the Delhi-Shivpuri drive take.?

The over 260-km Delhi-Shivpuri drive takes about 6 hours from.

Which is the closest railhead?

Haridwar railway station is the closest railhead and it is about 1.5 hours and 42 kms from camp.

Which is the closest Airport?

Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun is the closest airport and it is about 1 Hour / 34 Kms from our Shivpuri camps.

Can you arrange transport for us from Delhi?

Yes. Road/ Train/ Flight reservations can be arranged by Snow Leopard Adventures.

Why rafting transfers are not included in the package?

The put-in and take out points for rafting are at a distance from our camps and hence we require the services of external transporters to transfer the guests to and fro camps. As per local traffic authorities, our vehicles can be used only to transfer our staff and equipment.

How many people can take part in an Adventure trip?

We can accommodate groups between 10 to 140 guests at a time.

What is the minimum number of people that you require to run an adventure trip?

Most of our itineraries require a minimum number of 4 guests.

Can I create my own Adventure?

Yes, we would be pleased to tailor-make itineraries for you as per your requirements.

Do you have CSR initiatives?

Are your adventures environment-friendly?

Snow Leopard Adventures lays tremendous emphasis on running an environment-friendly operation. We promote minimum impact tourism and try to follow the rule of great outdoors “take only photographs – leave only footprints AND give something back to the local environment / community”.
