A)
VISAS: All foreign nationals except nationals of Nepal and
Bhutan need valid passports and visas to visit India. As entry
is restricted to some north- eastern areas of the country like
Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram etc, special permits are
needed for foreigners to visit these areas. There is also a
requirement of having a minimum group size of four in
restricted areas.
B)
INSURANCE: All tourists are advised to protect themselves
by insurance that covers cancellation, accidents, health,
emergency evacuation including air evacuation, helicopter
rescue and loss of or damage to baggage and personal effects.
