Why do we give up that couch to jump off muddy cliffs?
Why do we kick off the quilt to jump into freezing waters?
What makes us pack our bags and disappear into a jungle lore?
It is the desire to break out, to dump the traffic and wade into the wild, to leave the monotony of routines and enter the realm of uncertainties, to leave the world as it is for a while and discover a new one.
Snow Leopard Adventures recognizes the free spirit in you, itching to wander out and explore, and beckons you to the great outdoors. These trips are especially designed to take you away from the throes of civilization into the pristine arms of nature.

MARANGU ROUTE - 7days & 6nights (5 days on trek)
Towering at 5896m (19,344 ft.), Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and is one of the largest extinct volcanoes in the world. Though the peak is only 3 degrees below the equator, it is snow covered through the year. Kilimanjaro can be climbed by any physically fit person and no climbing experience is required. Usually it is pleasantly warm in the lower slopes of the mountain and the temperatures at the summit ranges between -12 to -15 degrees Celsius. The best time of the year to climb this mountain is January- March/ August- October.
Sometimes known as the 'Coca-Cola' route, because it is the most popular route up the mountain, the Marangu Route is in fact probably followed by ninety percent of all climbers. It has a well-defined path, which has been well set out and where most obstacles have been modified to make them 'climber friendly'. Accommodation on this route is in purpose built mountain huts providing adequate shelter and even bottled water, beer and soft drinks ( at high altitude prices!). Despite the human traffic (it can be fun to mingle with climbers from all over the world), this is a very scenic route with good views of Mawenzi and excellent prospects for viewing wildlife.
