Study And Value Environment (SAVE)

Environmental degradation is a major cause for concern for our generation and Snow Leopard Adventures in its over 14 years of operation in the field of adventure tourism has emerged as a company known for its commitment to the environment.

In continuation of its efforts to promote environment consciousness, Snow Leopard Adventures, in association with ICI Paints Ltd., had launched a programme called Study and Value Environment (SAVE) in May, 2000. SAVE aims to bring together students from different schools and to introduce them to the outdoors and the environment. It also looks at how human beings are destroying the environment and at ways and means of saving what remains of our heritage. The future lies unreservedly with the youth of our country as does the success of such a programme as the young are the principal beneficiaries of any such efforts.

The programme would give the students a hands-on experience of environment related issues and all activities during this programme would ensure learning through participation. During the programme, the young students would have the opportunity to develop a love for the outdoors and a yearning to preserve what they have enjoyed.

SAVE Highlights:

• Awareness about the environment

• Session on alternate energy sources

• Session on Water Harvesting

• Visit to the Wildlife Institute of India

• Environmental skits and role plays

• Nature walk/bird watching session with a trained naturalist
